This is a picture of Broadway taken from top of the Empire State Building. The first building on the left is Macy's. It takes up one whole block (It is huge) The third building (the one on the far right) is the office building where the Redeemer church office is. We have 2 floors in this massive building, so this is where I come to work on the days I go into the office. It is fun to work right on Broadway in mid-town. The street in front of the buildings you are looking at is where the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade takes place. If you look closely, you can see the green star where all the performances happen. You actually have an amazing view of the parade from the Redeemer office. I have grown up watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade every year and each year I have always said, "one day I want to go!" Well this is the year for me! Two of my friends Katherine and Erin are flying up to see me for Thanksgiving, and so we'll be out there with the rest of the millions of people in the freezing cold! I am really excited and so thankful that I have two friends coming to celebrate the holiday and brave the parade with me!
I just wanted to share this picture so you could get a little bit of an idea of where I work

yay! i've been waiting for some updates. love you so much and WISH i could come see you soon!!!!
Hey Belma Louise! I'm stoked about coming. Thanks for the update. It blesses me to hear about all the things that you are learning through your life in the big apple. I can relate to many of your sentiments about life there because of my experiences in China; In the same way you have entered a culture completely foreign to your own. By doing this we learn not only about the foreign surroundings, but much about ourselves and the culture from which we were molded. I'm wondering if this will be your experience as well.
I am really looking forward to walking the streets of New York with you and talking about some of those experiences! Let me know if there are any goodies you would like me to bring!!! Love you!
