Hi! It's me again. I know I am a terrible blogger. I also know that people like blog entries with pictures. Honestly I just don't take pictures that much, and so I decided to post some old ones. Really, I have no idea who took this picture of me. I just found it when I was going through my pictures the other night and thought it was so random
The next picture is of me and my dad on July 1 when I was getting ready to get on an airplane to move my life to NYC. This is another picture I found when I was going through my pictures the other night. I stared at this picture for awhile because I just thought, "wow so much has happened in my life since this day." Literally I packed up two bags (VERY full bags), hopped on an airplane, landed at LGA airport in New York City, and started my life here. I don't think I really realized it then, but I really did make a BIG move. When people ask me how I like living life in this city, my standard response is, " I really love it (most of the time) but life is just so different here." I am definitely still adjusting to the lifestyle that people live here... God has taken me on such a journey since the day that this picture was taken. I feel like I have grown and changed so much as a person.
By the way, don't you think my dad has unusual expression on his face? I think he was still in shock that he was putting his baby daughter on an airplane to move to Manhattan. Probably one of his scarier moments in life...
So for an update on my life.... I am continuing to work at Redeemer in the Childrens Ministry and baby-sitting for a family. I really enjoy both of these jobs. I am continuing to take on more responsibilities at the church and will begin working quite a bit more hours starting in June. As far as the baby-sitting I really love the family. It has been fun as the weather has gotten warmer to spend so much time out and about and specifically in Central Park. Today we took the girls and had a picnic in the park which was so much fun. When the weather is pretty in this city everyone goes to the park, so it was fun to be out with all the other New Yorkers who are excited for this beautiful weather. Ok, so speaking of the weather....IT WAS AMAZING TODAY. This is the thing I came to realize today, NYC is a different city in warm weather than it is in cold weather. EVERYONE is out when it is nice outside, all the outdoor seating is open at the restaurants and cafes on the streets, vendors are out, musicians are out, street fairs and outdoor concerts are happening, and on and on. I love New York in this weather. Yesterday I was walking through Central Park with one of the munchkins I sit for and it was perfect weather. I thought, "I wish I could put all my friends and family in a suitcase and bring them up here to enjoy this." NYC really is such a BEAUTIFUL city when it is not winter (yeah not a big fan of winter here). So all you people who keep talking about coming to visit me, these coming months are the one to come. Don't wait until November and say you are coming. :-)
As far as my living situation you can pray for that! The girl who I got my apartment with got engaged and moved out. I got a new roommate (a girl from church) last Saturday who is going to live with me through the end of July. After that I am not sure what I am going to do. I am praying through whether to keep my apartment or move out. Please pray that the Lord would give me direction with this area of my life. the whole living situation can be really stressful up here. I am trying to trust the Lord knowing that he has a plan and will provide for me, but sometimes that is so hard to do!
ok, I have more I want to write, but my bed is calling my name:-)
To be continued.....

It is hard to believe that it has been almost a year since that scene in the airport....that was such a hard day and a happy day too. We are so thankful to see how God has grown you in so many ways since then. We are so proud of you. Can't wait to see you in 3 weeks...I would like to put in my order for this great weather while I am there.
