The Weekly Top Ten - Sweet South Edition
I just flew in from Atlanta. I was with my team at a Children's Ministry conference at Perimeter Church. It was excellent. I am so tired but I wanted to do this post before a new week started. Since 5 of my 7 days were spent in Atlanta my top 10 will be all from my days in the sweet South.
1) Going to QT everyday and getting a fountain drink. (my boss told me I could be a spokeswoman for that place. yes, thats how much a love it)
2) Eat Japanese food with white shrimp sauce (NYC needs to get some of that!)
3) Going to Target 2 times!
4) Going to Chick-Fil-A 3 times!
5) Getting to eat dinner with Kiki D (aka Katherine King) It's been 13 months since we've seen each others faces! And getting to hang out with her boyfriend!
6) Experiencing Perimeter and learning from this awesome church
7) Being Led in worship by Laura Story
8) Being taught at the conference by Sally Lloyd Jones and being reminded of some pretty amazing truths (more on what I learned in another blog post)
9) Getting to see my parents and eat 2 meals with them.
10) Getting a break from life in NYC for 5 days (although I am glad to be home)
It's hard to go back to the south and not constantly compare how incredibly different every area of life is there. Some I miss, some I don't miss. Either way where I am is where God has called me today, and as I flew over the shining statue of Liberty and beautiful lights of the city tonight I am quite thankful for that.
