Back in November I captured Central Park on this beautiful day. And now that we are in the Winter season I decided to go back and capture Central Park when it looks a little different.
The Lake is frozen over. Doesn't it look so soft and untouched? "untouched" spaces are a treasure in this city
I love the way the buildings look as the sun sets in the wintery sky
Bethesda Fountain is a great place to play in the snow
The Boat House
Poets Walk
The snowy bare branches are a little different than the colorful leaf covered trees in the fall.
And Mr Saxophone Man is out there as usual. All other things may change in this city, but Mr. Saxaphone man is a constant....and I LOVE that!
No matter the season Central Park is always beautiful. I am so thankful for this piece of nature in a city of sidewalks and buildings.
As I look at these pictures I think of a verse from the song Every Season by Nicole Nordeman
And everything in time and under heaven
Finally falls asleep
Wrapped in blankets white, all creation
Shivers underneath
And still I notice you
When branches crack
And in my breath on frosted glass
Even now in death, You open doors for life to enter
You are winter
