For New Years Weekend I traveled to Greenville, SC because somebody got ENGAGED!
Can you see the excitement on Katherine's face?
Kiki is one of my dearest friends from CO beach project days. The Lord has taken us through a windy path together since and she has always been a steady friend for me. we are the kind of friends who can be real with one another and know it's ok to say what we really think even when it's ugly and messy. She is also the friend I can be totally crazy with. It's nice to have those kind of friends!
I put together a few little gifts for the occasion
Since it was the holidays, most of Kiki and Josh's friends were out of town, but that didn't stop a few of us who could make it to get together to have a "screaming party" with Katherine. If you know her...... this totally makes sense!
It was so fun to get to spend time with Frances and Colette as well. These 3 girls are some of my most favorite people ever!
and I got to meet Frances's 4th child, Sophie!
I was so thankful I was already going to be in the south and was able to be here for this special night!
On New Years Eve day Katherine and I did some wedding shopping and I also got to have some quality time with Colette!
That night we celebrated big time with some crazy hats I bought off the street in the apple (and yes they lit up! it was awesome)
We popped some champaign with the Kittels, watched a movie, and of course had to watch my little city celebrate with the ball drop.
It was a great weekend and so fun to be with old friends!
You will probably hear more about this wedding and others on the blog during 2012. It is definitely going to be the year of weddings for my friends.
