Crucita!

One of my favorite things about my time in Ecuador was the beautiful place we stayed.
Since the Fellers spend about 6 months total of the year in Ecuador they built a house in a fishing town, called Crucita, about 45 minutes away from the hospital.  The house is beautiful and is across the street from the Pacific ocean.
I took long walks along the beach almost everyday, One morning my dad and I walked down to see the fishermen bring in their catch of fish.
While the parents work some of the kids are left to fend for themselves on the beach.
We found this baby standing alone on a table.

Cutting up the fish that were caught
I don't think I have ever seen so many pelicans in one place before

The Fellers have hammicks all over their house and beautiful landscape to enjoy outside.
It is a great environment to relax after a long day in Portoviejo
I spent many hours in the hammicks on the roof (looking out over the pacific) It was a perfect place to prepare for bible clubs and the teacher training.
Along the ocean is a little town of very quaint shops and restaurants.
We went to this amazing pizza place one night in the town. The owner is italian and moved here because he loved the little town so much.  His pizzas were incredible! He was so proud of his oven and invited my dad to come back and take pictures!
There were fishing boats like this one parked all along the shore.  They were all very simple and very colorful.
We took a lot of walks and enjoyed the beautiful scenery in this little beach town.

Watching the sunset from the Fellers roof
Dr. Fellers, my dad, and I went four wheeling along the beach one day.  We also road up the little mountain to see a greater view of the city and see where the paragliders jump off from.
I really like these last 3 photos of the crashing of the waves that I took one night while sitting on the shore praying through my life. The power of the waves breaking against the shore with the radiance of the sun shining down. I see God's glory in these pictures.  His radiance, beauty, and power.

Although our time in Ecuador was fairly busy we made the most of the moments we had at the house in Crucita. It was a great gift to me to get 10 days on the ocean. Thankful for such a beautiful place to stay while on a missions trip
