Along with teaching Oansa on Saturday morning, Sunday School Sunday morning, and 7 bible clubs I also did a staff and volunteer training for the Children's Ministry at the church. This has been a fairly big part of my job at Redeemer so it was fun to share some of the things I've done with my own staff and volunteers with these ladies.
They asked some great questions and it made me realize how similar Children's Ministry is across the world. We deal with some of the same challenges whether we minister in New York City or Ecuador.
Although the language barrier was rather challenging I enjoyed spending an evening with these ladies and hope they gained some new insights and ideas from our time together.
