Celebrations

Wedding Season is coming upon me once again.  I am learning this is a constant in this season of life.  Beginning in January I have 5 close friends getting married within 5 months of each other.  Needless to say it will be many months with celebrations. 
To be completely real, friends getting married is both exciting and hard.  I have been in many weddings and I am continually learning how to walk through this celebratory season with my friends even when there is bits of pain in my heart. 
I am continually learning to cling to the Lord and and rest in Him.
I am thankful for the Lord's faithfulness, for his perfect grace, for the hope that is found in Him alone.  In this season of life I get the sweet privledge of knowing Jesus deeper, of running to him as the one who loves me unconditionally even when the ache feels like it will never go away.  It's a sweet season that I pray I will look back on and see the Lord's perfect work in my life.  

With all that said, I am so excited about these fun celebrations I have the opportunity to  be a part of! I will have to write more about the different ones coming up, but for tonight I must share about Amy.  Amy is my "life partner" in NYC.  Literally we do everything together.  We work together (desk are next to each other), have led a fellowship group together for 4 years, led a missions trip together to SA, are in a lead coaching group together, etc etc etc You get the point! 
After much waiting and praying, the Lord brought her husband into her life.  You can read her story HERE
I am so excited for her.  I have gotten several creative "asks" for being a bridesmaid, but I thought the way she asked me was really creative and sweet! 
So excited to be a part of this wedding and the other upcoming ones! 


Yet this I call to mind

    and therefore I have hope:
Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him"
Lamentations 3:21-24
