A New York Wedding...

Last weekend one of the 9A roommate got married!
The festivities began on Thursday night (the night before the wedding) when LA and Kyle invited some of their clsoe friends to come celebrate with them at Pete's Tavern  after the rehersal dinner.
Perryn, Hannah, and I will miss Lindsay Ann in our home!
Friday night was the big night!  Han told us we looked like the mob wives going out on the town in our fur coats. ha!
It was so special to wear my great grandmothers mink coat. When I was home over the holidays my mom pulled it out of the closet and I decided to bring it back to the city to wear. Since I never had the opportunity to meet my great grandmother this was a fun little keepsake to borrow
I love that her initals are stitched on the inside
The wedding was downtown at a church near Grammercy Park
And the reception was at the Boat House in Central Park. It was beautiful!

With the bride
The first dance (sorry for the grainy iphone pics)  They danced to "New York New York" and "Empire State of Mind".  It was amazing!   Best first dance songs ever!
With the mother of the bride!  We are all close to LA's moms from all her great visits to NYC!
Judy, we'll miss you at 9A!
Ok this is a terrible picture, but this is a picture of all the girls who have lived in 9A at one point or another.
(L-R) Jamie, Lauren, Hannah V, Lindsay Ann, Emily, Perryn, Bethany, Hanna D.
(Not pictured Katie who lives in London and new roomate Jeannie)

I mean the tables were BEAUTIFUL. So fancy with all the glasses and silverware. We were served a 4 course dinner that was delicious!
Dinner was folllowed by lot and lots of dancing.  I think LA and Kyle had one of the best wedding bands I've ever heard. With every song whether country, pop, oldies, etc the band members sounded exactly like the original artist.  It was so great and such fun music to dance to.  The dance floor went strong (and maybe a little crazy) until the bride and groom finally left at 1:30 AM.

Of all the weddings I've been to this was actually my first NYC wedding (as most people go back to their hometowns to get married). NYC weddings have a reputation of being really great and this one definitely lived up to the high standards that this glitzy city holds!

It's fun to see your friends get married when you've been a part of the whole story.  I was actually standing beside LA when Kyle asked her out on their first date and have watched the whole journey since.  We'll miss you Lindsay Ann, but excited for you and Kyle and where this journey has led.
