Central Perk

If you know me, you know that I absolutely LOVE the show FRIENDS. Like I own the entire series, know every episode by heart, and at times live my life in NYC through FRIENDS quotes.

When my friend Amy lived here we would almost have daily moments where we would look at each other say "this is like..... "and then name something that happened on an episode of Friends. 

All that to say that when it was announced that a pop up Central Perk coffee shop would be opening in Soho for a month I might have had about 10 friends email me and tell me about it because they knew I would flip (my friends know me well!:-))

Unfortunately there are quite a few FRIENDS fans out there and the line to get in this pop up shop averaged around a 2 hour wait.  Thankfully my friend Perryn got a tip from a guy that works there that the tourists don't like the early morning hours, so after one after work no go (I love friends but a 2 hour wait wasn't going to fly) we  braved the early morning hours and hit up the coffee shop when it opened one Monday morning.  Not only did we not have to wait in line, but we also go free coffee to start our Monday. 

I really don't get starstruck by much, but sitting on the orange couch that was sat on by cast members in every episode of the show might have been a dream come true.   

The coffee shop had different items from the show including Phoebe's guitar and some of the clothes worn by the casts. 

It was such a fun morning and a great NYC memory!
