- This week was a very busy week!
- This week (well really weekend) I went to the beach with friends. I had a great time, remembered how much I LOVE the beach (like i would ever forgot that) and came home with maybe just a whee bit too much sun
- This week I got my hair cut off
- This week I have been cat sitting for friends who live in Harlam and have been reminded of 3 things. 1) I'm really not a cat person 2) Cleaning out a litter box makes me gag 3) Harlam is such an interesting world.
- This week I went to a taping of a show that one of my roommates is going to be featured on.
- This week we also celebrated that same roommates birthday with dashing diva pedicures, Kefi, and Magnolias Cupcakes.
- This week we took a roommate picture at Dashing Diva, I can't say any of us look too hot (sorry roomies) but just note we had all come from a long day of work when this picture was taken. But do meet new Hannah on the far right. She is the newest addition to 9A
- This week I felt completely overwhelmed with the amount of e-mailing I need to do at work. Or maybe I just feel overwhelmed at work. Who knows, but either way I have come to realize once again that this fall is going to be crazy. Good crazy. But Crazy indeed. More on that in another post.
- This week we had an earthquake....or at least that is what I hear. I personally was in the subway when it happened. And let's be honest, the shaking in the subway makes it feel like there is always an earthquake happening.
- This week I got to visit our new Redeemer building for the first time! In fact, I was part of the first staff tour to enter our new building! Don't you just love our hard hats? I feel so official
- This week I got really excited when I entered the new building about what a big moment this is for Redeemer and New York City. Redeemer has been in existence for over 20 years and this is the first building. This is a HUGE deal to have our own space like this in New York City.
- This week I realized how much we have to do between now and when the building opens (in January) to get our Children's Ministry classrooms ready. BUT let's be honest, what a privilege it is to be a part of designing and establishing these classrooms. I've been doing research for months and now it's time to make it happen!
- This week we wrote our CM verse on the wall in the new building. It will obviously be painted over, but how cool to write this on the walls of a building that prayerfully will be serving Redeemer for many generations.
- This week I had my 2nd photography class of my new Photography 2 session and loved every minute of it. Now if only I can find the time to practice all the things that I am learning.
- This week I picked up a new book off my book shelf for the subway, "a Shelter in the time of Storm" by Paul David Tripp. It's been so incredibly challenging and encouraging for me these days
- This week I started using my Iphone to take more pictures, and now I actually can share more pictures from my week!
And now this week is coming to an end and the weekend is almost here! And if you have been watching the news at all, you have probably seen that Irene is heading towards NYC. And because I always seem to have flights scheduled when bad weather is hitting, I am supposed fly out this weekend for a super-duper quick little trip. Not sure if I will be going or not. I have to keep reminding myself that God is in control and all his ways are perfect!
