...And I am back for part 3. I have to say that I have so much I would love to share right now. Today my staff team had a day of reflecting/prayer/planning AND my fellowship group spent some time tonight reflecting and share specific things we want to grow in this year. On top of that I have just had a really good time with the Lord this week. He has been really sweet to me. I hope to blog one day about some of the specific praises and prayers that the Lord has reminded me of recently. But for now, I will continue on with the holidays.
I spent much of the holidays enjoying the beauty of my parents house. Even though I am NOT a mountain girl (Beach girl all the way, baby!) it was so nice be surrounded by a blue sky during the day and beautiful sunsets in the evening.
How can you not worship God when you are surrounded by beauty such as this? How can you deny that there is a creator? Our creator's hand is so evident to me when I am surrounded by such beautiful land and water.
I relaxed in a warm, quiet home with a cute puppy dog that you see behind these candles. If you can't tell I also practiced my photography quite a bit.
I read A LOT! I highly recommend this book "The Help" I think you will especially think it's interesting if you are from the South. I also read(and am still reading) "Abba's Child". This is my 2nd time reading this book, but it has been incredibly impactful for me as I continue to learn what it means to be a child of God.
Colette came to visit me.
And enjoyed seeing the sites of the South. You would NEVER see a sign like this in New York City. The friendliness of the South is just really great.
And to end my holiday, I will leave you with this. A Picture of my incredibly mature older sister. She decided to have some fun with photography as well and take about 30 random pictures half of which were of herself. It would be just wrong of me not to include one.:-)
And now that I have been back almost 2 weeks I am building up those sky miles and leaving again. This time to St. Louis to spend the MLK weekend with my friends Kelli and PD. You might remember them from this post.
Have a Great Weekend!
