Friday we started the day off bright and early in Central Park. Good Morning America was filming their show in the Park and Sugarland did a little concert as part of the Summer Concert Series. It was fun to see them perform. we spent the rest of the day in the mid town area. Cat and G went to the top of the Empire State building, but I opted out of that. They waved to me while I worked in my office. We then walked through Fashion District and Bryant Park(where Fashion week is held)
We went in to Mood where Project Runway people shop, to take some pics for Cat's friend who loves that show. This really is how the store looks. In fact, all the fashion stores look like this. They really aren't that glamourous, but do have lots of great fabric. Mood is where I bought all the fabric for my apt and it's great!
Friday evening we went to Time Square to see Lion King on Broadway. The show was great. I love it so much this was my 3rd time to see it:-) And we of course had to show my bro-in-law the lights of Time Square!
On Saturday we went downtown to do some shopping and more sight seeing. Almost anywhere in the city you can see the Empire State Building standing tall and proud.
I love the Union Square area!
Later in the day I took them to one of my favorite areas...Riverside Park. You really don't feel like you are in the city at all in this beautiful place. I love running on the boardwalk and watching the boats.
For dinner we dined outside at Harrys and ate delicious Mexican!
When we got home Cat and I both changed clothes and when we looked at each other, this is what we noticed...haha
Sunday after church we walked 5th Ave, stopped in at Trump Tower and The Plaza
and of course had to go play a little in FAO Swartz
It was a beautiful day in NYC and a great way to end our weekend together....
Thanks for coming Cat and Gary!!
