Romans 8

A few Sundays ago a guy at my church sang this song that he wrote.  It really impacted me.  I tore the lyrics out of the bulletin and stuck them in my journal.  I have continued to go back to the words in my time with Jesus and I wanted to share on the blog. I love Romans 8 and I love the words that Sean put to this passage of scripture

Romans 8
Spirit help me when I'm weak
When I don't know how I should speak to you
You are there to intercede
though I can't articulate a thing

We cry, "Abba, Father," Alleluia

Words cannot express enough
when I'm down you lift me up again
I was once a slave to fear
now I know that you are here with me.

We cry, "Abba, Father," Alleluia

Your spirit has descended
Your love is never ending
My comforter and friend
Alleluia

My spirit cries for yours
and for the glory that I will know one day
When all the earth will be restored
by grace that you have poured already

We cry, "Abba, Father," Alleluia

Your spirit has descended
Your love is never ending
My comforter and friend
Alleluia
written and sung by Sean McClowry
