My very dear sorority sister and college roommate got married this past weekend in New Orleans and I had the privilege to stand with her as she said the big "I Do"
It was a fabulous weekend full of party after party! We were treated like royalty and had a wonderful time. 2 of my other sorority sisters were in the wedding as well which was so fun.
Below are 3 of the bridesmaids with Emily(the bride) after one of the parties we attended.
Me, Emily, Ashley, and Elly (Elly is a ss with us)
On Friday we attended the bridesmaid luncheon at a very historic and wonderful restaurant in downtown New Orleans. My mom told me after the fact that my grandparents use to dine here in the 50's.
Pictured below are the 5 bridesmaids with the bride
The Bride and Groom at the Rehearsal
Em and Me relaxing at the Ritz Carlton, where we got to stay part of the time. It was so nice to stay at such an amazing hotel! We definitely took advantage of the room service and the big comfy bed (we managed to cram 4 girls in one bed and then proceeded to call Em's dad, who was staying down the hall, to come take a picture of us. I'm sure he just loved that. haha!)
The Phi Mu Ladies! I love these girls and we haven't all four been together in over 2 years. We laughed a ton and had a great time together! I am so thankful we could all be there with Emily on this special day.
Em and her sweet dad.
The Wedding Site. It was a gorgeous day and a beautiful ceremony
With Dave after the wedding. Can't you just see the glow? He was so excited to be married!
My favorite part of the wedding (besides Em and Dave saying "I do") was the live band at the reception. They played great songs and we definitely danced! I think we might have made fools of ourselves, but it was so fun!! It definitely took me back to my college days and going out with my sorority sisters.
It was a great weekend! I loved being in New Orleans and being a part of all the wedding festivities. After 3 nights of no sleep, 5 different wedding event party's, and more champagne toasts than I can count, I boarded a plane to head back to the Big Apple!
Congratulations Dave and Emily!
