The Weekly Top 10

Ok So I've decided that I am going to post a "Top 10" List every week on my blog.  These will be 10 highlights from the week.  Probably won't be that amazing or exciting, but just everyday highlights.  I want to document my crazy life here in New York and the everyday happenings.  Sometimes my days and weeks blend together, but maybe this will help me remember what happened during my week and things that I am thankful for.  And  just so you know, these won't be in any particular order....just the order of my memory.  So here it goes.  And let's just note.  I was "sickish"  all week so this week was particularly uneventful.

1) Staying home from work (due to being sick) and getting to watch Oprah 2 different days. I know, I'm admitting I like that show!

2) Discovering that diet coke from McDonalds in a Styrofoam cup is SO GOOD! (Thanks Hannah for giving me the idea)

3) Having the cashier at the Subway by my office get soooo excited to see me after I hadn't come in for a couple days.

4) Finding out that I am going to get a "real desk" at work very soon

5) Discovering some great new songs on itunes this week and having a gift card to purchase them with.  They gave my commute a little pick me up!

6) Seeing a guy using the restroom on the sidewalk and a woman with no pants riding the subway.  I can't say these were good things to see (maybe a little more traumatic) but made me laugh because it reminded me that this is just part of "normal life in NYC"

7) Teaching Abby some some new tricks in jump roping and seeing her joy when she accomplished it. And I have to admit, it was super fun to jump rope down the sidewalks of Central Park!  I love the simple joy in a child!

8) Having a lady at my church(who I love) ask if I would like for her to mentor me.  It was a sweet answer to prayer and I know will be a blessing.

9) Getting sweet time with the Lord this week.

10) Sleeping in 2 days in a row!

Ok I told you it wouldn't be that exciting, but those were my highlights!:-)

I love, love, love that you are doing this. I can't wait to read each week the things that made an impression - and what a great record of your NYC experiences. See you in a couple of days. Love you.
