The Gospel. A City. For Generations

Our Children's Ministry staff team spent last week at Perimeter Church in Atlanta.  It was so nice to spend a week out of the city and soak up some suburban action (aka Target, chick-fil-a, riding in a car) I walked away from our time with the amazing staff at Perimeter feeling inspired, encouraged, and ready to start thinking through some new ideas for our children and families at Redeemer.  It is alway so hard to talk to other churches and realize that things that work in other places just don't work in New York City.  It is such a culture of it's own as well as doing ministry in the city brings many interesting challenges.  But our time with Perimeter was specifically centered around taking some of their strengths and brainstorming how to implement them at Redeemer.  It was helpful and fueling to say the least.  And now we run hard here in New York City.  It is our desire that the little hearts of our city kids would understand and know the Gospel of Christ, would be discipled in Him, and would be a light in a very dark city.
