My Life in Bullets....

  • Fall is such a busy season. I forget that, but it is
  • I leave for Africa 3 weeks from today.  To say I am excited would be an understatement, but man is there alot to do between now and then!
  • I am cooking dinner for my Fellowship Group tomorrow night.  I am so bad at cooking, but thankfully my mom will be here to help.....which brings me to my next point.
  • My mom is coming tomorrow.....because
  • We got VIP tickets to the Regis and Kelly show on Wednesday.....sooooo
  • you should watch Live with Regis and Kelly on Wednesday and look for my mom and I.
  • And speaking of TV, my roommate Hannah has her 2nd Nate Berkus segment airing on Thursday.  You should watch it!
  • My mom and I have tickets to Sister Act on broadway this weekend.  My mom has been begging to see this show since it opened, so I am excited she will finally get her wish!
  • the weather in NYC has been beautiful.  I mean picture perfect feel like I am walking in a movie scene.  You know the movie "You've Got Mail"?  It's been like that.  I have to admit it is nice.  But don't be jealous. I'll be hard core complaining about the weather before you know it.
  • And speaking of weather, I never had anxiety about weather until moving to NYC.  As much as I love fall, that means winter is next. I just really don't like winter in NYC.  I'm pretty sure that will never change.
  • Work is so busy right now.  Maybe it's always like that, but it feels extra busy.
  • I might start dreaming about tables and chairs and children's furniture before too long, because I am spending my fair share of time working on it.  I never knew what all went in to designing so many classrooms for a new building, but it is a task.  A very fun task, but quite a large one.  It will be so rewarding when this building opens, but my head is spinning in it right now.
  • Have you guys been keeping up with Occupy Wall Street?  I personally think it's a bit crazy, but we do live in a free country.  They marched down Broadway the other night from the UWS and marched past my apt.  The sirens woke me up and it was a bit annoying.
  • I am going through Gospel in Life with the UWS Redeemer community this fall.  This is the 2nd time I've gone through this study, and I am reminded just how rich it is.  I am thankful that TK is my pastor and I get to hear his preaching weekly.  I would recommend this study if you are ever looking for a small group study that will challenge your socks off.
  • Ok I think that might be it. I'm going to go make my "while mom is here" list.  You know, all those things that only moms know how to do. Since we live far apart, I save up my little domestic projects for her visits.  I think she secretly loves it:-)
