The Team

A few more pictures of the Cape Town team....

Amy and I co-led this trip.  It was so great leading with her.  We have worked together so much that I think we have our partnership almost down pat:-)
Some of the girls before dinner one night
All the guys on our team:  Jeff, David, Ricky, Harrison, and Scott
All the girls on our team: Amy, Katherine, Me, Joanna, Erin, Lindy, Perryn, Leah, Adriana, Liz, and Kara.

We went to a traditional Ethiopean restaurant for dinner one night.
Jacques and his wife Lindy.  Jacques is the pastor at Point Community and was our host all week!  We had such a great time spending the week with him
This pic cracks me up.  The wind in Cape Town was a little strong if you can't tell.:-)
This is a random photo, but I have to add this in my blog post about Cape Town.
NOGII bars are really good protein bars that Elisabeth Hasselbeck put out.  She very graciously donated a TON to our team to donate and eat for snacks.  When I talked to her about it, I was expecting maybe she would donate a box or 2, but in her generousity she donated many more than that!  Anyways, it kind of became a theme for our trip.  we took nogii bars EVERYWHERE we went.  we ate them daily, we handed them out to every homeless person we passed, we gave them to kids on the street, we gave them to kids at Arise. By the end of the trip we felt like every person in Cape Town had received a nogi bar sometime in the week(not really. ha!) It was such a blessing to have these bars with us all week to eat and give away.  We joke that the slogan for our trip should be "got nogii?" Thank you Elisabeth for donating so many bars!

You are so funny - You just casually mention that you talked to Elizabeth about donating bars.
