These Girls

I will be back to blogging about Cape Town tomorrow, but I wanted to post this picture.  These are the girls I mentor through a program called Kids with a Promise

I have been spending time with these girls for 2.5 years.  As you probably alll know, Mentor/mentee relationships can take time to build, especially when investing in youth.  I am thankful for the way my relationship with these girls has grown and that I get to spend time with them on a fairly regular basis.  

Today we had our big KWAP Christmas party which included an Elf Scavenger hunt. It was awesome!  We basically hit up the places Elf did in the movie. You know, the North Pole at Macys, The Empire State Building, The tree at Rockefeller Center.  We also built a gingerbread house together!  It was a very Christmasy day and such a fun day with these girls!
