Will my blog ever be like it use to be? Will I ever sit down to write long post on what I'm learning and thinking? Will I share the day to day of my life and and record memories of all that is happening? I feel like my post lately have been short and sporadic. To the point and missing so much detail. I want to share more detail. I want to remember my life and what these days are filled with. I really have no exscuse. I mean I am crazy busy, but I am crazy busy because I'm choosing to be. I've been doing so much photography, which means I've been doing so much editing. I'm working and traveling and spending time with friends and soaking up all the life that summer in NYC brings.
One of these days I will get back to meatier post, but for now I leave you with 2 pictures and thoughts.
I really love this picture. It was taken at the beach I know, but I didn't know it was being captured at the time. I love that the sun was streaming in on our faces and we were having a moment, just the two of us. I am really struggling right now to understand the Lord. I know deep down that his ways are not my ways, but sometimes I just really wish He would tell me what he is up to. I struggle to trust and wait and obey Him when I feel like I am walking so much in the dark. But then I look at pictures of Mary Blake and am reminded again that the Lord really does hear our prayers. He really is for us and He really does bless us with sweet gifts.
And then there is this picture......
Yes, that is part of our Children's MInistry staff team at Redeemer in Herald Square on Broadway. Yes we are wearing Yankees T Shirts and making a music video. Yes, it is in the middle of the day and there are lots and lots of people walking by us. and Yes, we are having a blast! My boss turned 40 this month and as a birthdy present, her very talented friends (one of whom happens to be the worship director at Redeemer) decided to make a music video to the Queen song "Bohemian Rhapsody". Because my boss LOVES the Yankees the whole video was about going to a Yankees game. Although I would post the video on here, she might fire kill me me if I did.
I was the lead singer of the band and made a complete fool of myself.
I was in rare form to say the least.
Although we all felt silly, it was a great birthday present for Tracy!
I do admit you know you work on a fun staff team when you can have so much fun doing this kind of thing together!
This is the 2nd video we have made for her. Who knows what is next!
