I blogged briefly about this amazing night HERE, but I must share in more detail.
Months ago my friends Adriana, Josh and I were talking about our upcoming 30th birthdays and how fun it would be to have a blowout birthday bash!
Well months later and thanks to our amazing friend Amy, this birthday bash came together. We decided to do it halfway between our birthdays, so since Dria turned 30 in May and Josh and I both turn 30 in September July was the perfect month to make it happen! It was a cocktail attire party with a theme of black and white. The party was held on my friend Ricky's rooftop with a a beutiful 360 view of the city. It was pretty much incredible!
Amy printed off pictures of the 3 of us and made the number 30 out of the pics. On the other side of the wall was a photo booth for people to take pics!
Most of the Children's Ministry staff team came out to celebrate with me.
Lindsey, Amy, Daniel, Amy A, Tracy, Kathryn, and James
Happy Birthday to Me!!
The beautiful NYC Skyline. Can you spot the Empire State Building lit up? It was BEAUTIFUL!
The rooftop was filled with friends! I have no idea how many people came out to celebrate with us, but it was a lot!
We danced the night away!
Caught in a moment of dancing
With the other birthday girl! So everyone dressed in black and white.....except for US! We stood out in our red party dresses!
Seriously danced the night away!
We had an awesome playlist and huge speakers......so the dancing was pretty incrdible!
With my friends Hannah and Lance
Some of the 9A bible study girls!
Kelly, Lindsay Ann, Hannah, Susan, Krista, and Hannah D
And my precious Roommates!
My good friend Neil!
With the Party host herself, AMY! Seriously, she threw one ridiculously great party!
Singing Happy Birthday with Sparklers!
The best part of all was that my friend Katherine flew up from North Carolina to celebrate with me! It was SO GREAT having her here to meet all my friends and celebrate the big birthday with me!
Happy Birthday to US!
So I have mentioned on the blog that I LOVE cotton candy. Well seeing that Amy knows me so well she special ordered Cotton Candy to have at the party. It was Delish!
The view of the East River
And this was our birthday Cake. Isn't it amazing?
It really was such a fun night celebrating with SO MANY friends!
30 is not a birthday I am looking forwad to. I feel like there is a lot of pressure to make this birthday special. Thankfully I have great friends who took care of that for me (even if it was 2 months early). I really couldn't have asked for a better party as I think I will always remeber this night in a special way! I hope that one day I can tell my kids that I celebrated my 30th overlookigng the NYC skyline. I mean who gets to do that???:-)
Thank you Amy and all the other many friends who made this night so special!

Wow, I love this! I like your 30th birthday ideas and I'd love to adapt this idea for my friend's 25th birthday...
Cheers!
Would you feel the excitement or would you feel ashamed of garnering that age? These feelings have been given justice every year.
