This past weekend was a weekend I have been looking forward to for awhile, yet I blinked and it is now over! If only we could freeze time at points.
It all started when my friend Kelli flew in from St Louis on Friday afternoon. Kelli and I go way back from when she led my CCP team to Souh Africa my junior year in college, to her being my mentor while on staff with CO, to being next door neighbors for the year before I moved to NYC. She also married one of my good friends from college PD and came with me when I flew up to NYC to interview and see if I wanted to live here. Needless to say we have built a lot of memories together! She has seen me at my lowest points and still loves me, so I would say we are good friends:-)
Kelli is pregnant with her 2nd child, so this was a little pre-baby girls weekend. Can't you just see the excitment on her face to be in the big apple....
On Friday night we met up with our friend Courtney who happened to be in the city for work. The 3 of us all spent a summer in South Africa together with CO (Courtney and I were both students and Kelli was our leader).
We haven't all been together in years, but we picked up right where left off talking and laughing all night long! It was sooooo fun!
We started the night at The Park and then walked across the HighLine and browsed through Chelsea Market
On Saturday Kelli and I had breakfast at Alice's Tea Cup and then shopped the day away in Soho. She also had her make-up done, which was so fun!
On Saturday night we met Amy for dinner at Carmines. Amy and Kelli knew each other through the CO staff girl world, so it was fun for them to re-connect
After dinner we went downtown to Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center.
I will never grow tired of the city skyline at night. It's beautiful to me!
Our only picture of the two of us all weekend.....taken at top of the rock
On Sunday We had to say good-bye as Kelli had to go back to her life in St. Louis.
It was such a fun weekend and made me even more thankful for my sweet friendship with Kelli!
After putting Kelli in a cab on Sunday afternoon I met up with Amy to take the bus out to the Hamptons to Surprise our friend Adriana.
She ran her first half marathon and we wanted to surprise her to celebrate! she looks a little cray cray in this picture, but it's the only one I took while we were there:-)
We spent the night in South Hampton with Dria and hung out there on Columbus Day.
It was a busy and fun Columbus Weekend!
