Gotcha Day

Again I know this is a very tardy post, but I'm going to post it anyway.
One of the advantages of me getting stuck in Birmingham during Hurricane Sandy is that I got to be there for Mary Blake's "Gotcha Day".  This is the day that Mary Blake came home to her family.  I blogged about it HERE last year.
Cat and Gary wanted to start the day by taking Panera bagels to their adoption agency.
Here they are pictured with the 2 social workers they worked with.
The lady holding MB is the one who walked through it all with them.  MB has no idea how special that lady is to her family:-)
Mary Blake's gotcha day also happens to be Halloween!  So that night we dressed MB up and went over to Cat and G's friends house for a little halloween party and trick or treating.

Here is MB with all of her little friends.  Too bad most of them were too young to actuallly get any candy.  I think they still had fun cruising the neighborhood in their cute outfits!
Even though this was a very unexpected stay in Birmingham, it was fun to get so much time with the fam and be there for such a special day!
