Well Nemo came and it was quite the snow storm. Although other areas were hit much worse, NYC got some snow. I'll admit I really really really dislike snow. I know I shouldn't, but I do. Yes, it's pretty, but it's also really messy in the city. It also comes with cold weather and I really dislike cold weather. I am a beach girl to my inner core. Put me on a hot beach in the sand and I'll be super happy, but snow I would be ok to never see again.
See the dirty snow scraped off the road? That is what every intersection in Manhattan looks like. And it is a slushy MESS.
BUT Central Park on the other hand? It is a winter wonderland. And it is B.E.A.U.T.F.U.L! Really, with the white covering, the blue sky, the city skyline in the background, and everyout out and about enjoying the weather It was a glorious place to be on Saturday afternoon!
And although I really don't like snow, if we are going to have it we might as well make the most of it and play hard in it! And play we did.
After brunch in the neighborhood on Saturday morning a group of my friends hit the park for some good old fashioned snow play!
I mean I may not like snow, but I will say I had lots of fun playing in the winter wonderland of the park.
Liz, Ashley and Erin laying in the plushy snow.
This pretty shot was taken after my friend Erin creamed with a snowball:-)
So we didn't have a real sled, but Ashley did bring a pool raft from Australia for us to use as a "sled" (creative if i do say so myself)
The Engaged Couple!:-)
Believe it or not the pool raft actually worked great. So next time you find yourself without a sled go ahead and blow up your pool raft and hit the the snowy hills:-)
It was a great little snow day, but I'm still sooooo ready for spring!
