A picture re-cap of a very fun and very busy weekend.....
Friday night 9A had it's first party in over a year and it was quite the little shindig.
we took lots of apt pictures before it all began, but i'll show those at a later date!
The Roommates.
The party was a little housewarming for our new roommate Jeanne (who moved in when LA got married)
(L-R) Bethany, Jeanne, Perryn, Hannah
When you have 4 roommates with 4 different groups friends you have A LOT of people when you host a party. I didn't snap any pictures, except for this one.
This is a mixture of my old community group with a few of our new girls mixed in. so thankful for these girls!
After staying up waaay to late on Friday night, I arose early on Saturday to attend a Redeemer West Side Leaders Ministry Summit. It was a great day of teaching from one of our Redeemer Counselors as she took us through a mini version of the seminar on "How People Change" (check out my book list to see this book) Although I'm been in a group discussion of this book before, I learned so much yesterday. It was a good day of teaching and equipping for our Redeemer leaders
After a long day of teaching a group of friends went downtown to the LES (lower east side) for some Thai food and dancing to celebrate Misty's Birthday!!
We had a sweet celebration of Misty at dinner as we all went around and shared our favorite memory/character trait about her. Afterwards she then went around and shared about us. It was a really sweet time as friends!
Unfortunately I had a really bad headache and missed out on the dancing part, but was thankful to at least be there for the first part of the celebration.
I never think to take pictures on Sundays, but thanks to one of my friends/volunteers, Daniela I snagged this cute picture of some of our pre-school kids during their "wonder worship" today. Sundays are by far the craziest/longest day of my work week. I can so often get caught up in running around making sure everything is running smooth and all the other many parts of my job on Sundays that I miss out on these sweet worship moments. So thankful to have a job where I get to impact the next generation of native New Yorkers!
Whew what a weekend!!!:-)
