October Iphone Dump

October was a busy month in my book. Here's a snapshot of it through the lens of the iphone.

I was able to fly down to Atlanta for the PCA Children's Conference.  It was a really encouraging time conencting with other churches, receiving training, and gaining vision and wisdom on investing in the next generation in our churches.  By the look of this picture you might think there were 10 people there, but there were actually about 150.
Our Children's Ministry team hosted a parent cocktail party for our parents one evening.
I gave an update on our ministry and we shared the new CM video that we put together.  You can view it HERE (just scroll down on the page to see the video) This job is turning me in to a public speaker, but man is it still scary for me! Will it ever not be???

I introduced my amazing staff team!  So thankful to lead these women and work with them on a daily basis!
My sweet friends Krista and Vadim (and baby Luke) moved west to Cali last week! They had a little good-bye party at this super cool venue in Chelsea.  Why do all my friends keep moving? :-(
While down at the conference I got to see my favorite 2 year old and eat at our favorite restaurant, Chuys!  The girl can down some chips!
For her birthday I made her a homemade book, "Mary Blake Mary Blake Who Do you See?" (you know, like brown bear brown bear what do you see?)  with all her family members in it.  She will seriously read it over and over and over again if you let her! She has it memorized and it is so stinkin cute!
Fall in the northeast is BEAUTIFUL!  This is a picture of my street and it seriously has this magical feel when you walk down it.  You've Got Mail says it right "Don't you just love New York in the fall?" Winter here may be pretty awful, but New York in the fall pretty much feels like a movie!
My BF Amy was in the city for almost a whole month in October!  It was pretty great having my NYC companion here again. It felt like old times again with good catch up time and lots of quoting "Friends"!
We jetted the city one Saturday with our friends Robyn and Erin and went up to Fishkill Farms to pick apples and enjoy beautiful fall leaves! We even ate apple cider donuts, which are delicious!
Although my birthday was in September it took a little while to get this group of friends together to celebrate, so celebrate in October we did.  We did it right at Hill Country bbq!
L-R: LeighAnn, me, Lindsay Ann, Hannah V, and Hannah D
My friend Katherine and I were walking to lunch at my new favorite salad joint, Sweet Green, one day when we passed this cute lady with a very stuffed trash bag on her head.  For just a moment I felt like I was in Africa passing a woman at the market.  Honestly these are the people that make me love NYC! It is such a place of diversity.

And now October is over and November has begun!
I think I want this fall to slow down a little before the holiday season begins!
