On March 20th 2 little girls entered the world and 2 weeks later they became Mary Blake's little sisters.
If you have followed this blog for awhile you probably remember Mary Blake's adoption. I talked about it a little HERE and HERE. What I probably didn't talk about on the blog was all about the long wait that preceeded the day that Cat and G brought MB home to be a part of their family. Well this adoption story was a little different with a much shorter wait for a baby and the end surprise being TWO babies!
Meet Anna and Ruthie
Cat and G got a call on a Tuesday that these babies were chosen to be a part of their family and they had 24 hours to go pick them up! Yes 24 hours to get use to the idea that they would be becoming a family of 5. Some people have nine months and some people have 24 hours:-) Every story is a little different and this was the story God wrote for them!
The Blakester seems to be taking well to her role as big sister even if her world was turned upside down in a matter of hours. Thankfully she is an incredible, "go with the flow" type of kid.
Sadly I still have not met the babies yet, but bought a plane ticket this past week to go in a few weeks. These kind of life events are the times that make living far away challenging. Thankfully face time makes it a little easier!
I look at this picture and wonder the story the Lord has written for these little girls. I pray that the Lord would use Mary Blake, Anna, and Ruthie's story to bless others. That they would be His witnesses for His glory (Isaiah 43:10). I pray that they would know they are loved and that the Lord would help them understand adoption in Christ in a deeper way through their own adoption story.
Adoption really is a beautiful thing that I am thankful our family gets to be a part of it through the story of these little girls.
