Spring in Central Park

Last FALL and WINTER I snapped some pictures in Central Park.  Well, last Sunday on my walk home from work I decided to do a little spring Shoot! The weather was beautiful and Spring was finally here.

Central Park never gets old to me.  It's beautiful and magical and an amazing place to escape in a very busy city

I love all the bands that station themselves around the park
and on my "Mr. Constant"  In case you didn't know, I have nicknamed this saxohophone player as my constant in NYC.  No matter what changes occur in my life, Mr constant is ALWAYS there.  For almost 3 years now  he has been there every time I have walked through Poets Walk.  I love his music and I love that he is a constant for me in the ever changing crazy city life that I lead.  Keep on playing Mr Constant We New Yorker's need people like you in our life......and well your music is just beautiful!
I love when the trees look like this in Poet's Walk
This Man was serenading the crowds with a song from the musical Annie and well it was just beautiful.  I was trying to practice taking silhouettes, so I snapped this little pic
And oh how I love how all the local park artists are out again.  Central Park would be so much more boring without thee people using their gifts to earn a dime in this oh so very expensive city.  It was good to see them all back out again....

And now that winter is over my relationship with Central Park has re-entered.  I have a feeling I will be spending many hours in this beautiful place of refuge
I posted a portion of Nichole Nordeman's song "every season" in my post on winter in Central Park and with this post it seems fitting to post the next portion of that song:
"And everything that’s new has bravely surfaced
Teaching us to breathe
What was frozen through is newly purposed
Turning all things green
So it is with You
And how You make me new
With every season’s change
And so it will be
As You are re-creating me
Summer, autumn, winter, spring"

So thankful for all the new life that Spring brings.  The dead of winter is gone and the beauty of the Lord is all around me in the life that has re-surfaced.
So thankful for Spring............and so thankful that I survived another New York Winter:-)
