Thanksgiving in the mountains...

It's almost Turkey Day!!

For the past two Thanksgivings I have celebrated the holiday with this Parade....
And with these GIANT balloons

although the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is phenomenal and so much fun to see in person, I am looking forward to having this view for this Turkey  Day
and hopefully a sunset like this....
I haven't been home for Thanksgiving in 4 years, so I am definitely looking forward to being in my parents mountain house this year, enjoying a restful few days, and celebrating this special holiday with my family.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and that we will each take time on this special  day to thank the Lord for His great provision in our lives.

P.S. I will be enjoying the parade again this year, but will be in my PJ's, cuddled up with a blanket, and sitting on a couch with a view of the mountains. That sounds much more relaxing than standing in the cold.  I might be a little sad to not be in the city on this day, but I think I'll get over it:-)
There's always next year....
