His Best...

My blog is a journal.  I've always been better at processing through writing than speaking and this blog has been that for me.  A scrapbook of sorts of my thoughts and my daily life. But this month I've stayed away from the blog, because the past month of my life has been a doozy for me.  One day I will look back on these days and really see how the Lord has used this in his bigger story for my life.  How the pieces are weaved together and why He has taken me down this path. But today it's too fresh and too raw and I'm wading through a lot right.  Somedays it feels like my heart and my mind might explode from it all, but then I'm reminded of who holds my heart and has promised to never leave me or forsake me.

The other night my friend asked me how I was remaining so steady through these days and I simply said "because I know with confidence that God is in control and He is at the center of all of this".  He gave me Psalm 84:11-12 a few months ago and it has been written on a notecard on my bedside table since that time.  "For the Lord God is a sun and a shield, The Lord bestows favor and Honor.  No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of Host blessed is the one who trusts in you."  I know with confidence that the Lord gives only his best to his children.  He is a God who gives and who takes away, fully for the good of those he calls sons and daughters.

And so today I trust him.  I live in his daily sufficient grace that he pours over me, I draw near to his presence, and fight to fill my mind with his goodness.  I take one day at a time and cling to the one who has promised to give me a hope and a future, to make the dark places light and the rough places smooth, to give me his absolute best...... because he loves me that much!
