What I Needed Tonight

Loving the song that was sung tonight at church.
Better Than a Hallelujah
God loves a lullaby
In a mother's tears in the dead of night
Better than a Hallelujah sometimes
God loves the drunkard's cry
The soldier's plea not to let him die
Better than a Hallelujah sometimes

Chorus:
We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful, the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

The woman holding on for life
The dying man giving up the fight
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes

The tears of shame for what's been done
The silence when the words won't come
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes
Also loved TK's sermon tonight.  It totally rocked.  If I were you I would go here and download it.  The title is called "The Shepherd - King".   I was out of town all weekend and for a split second thought about skipping church tonight.  I am oh  so glad I did not.  I needed tonights message.  So thankful for the perfect Shepherd to tend to this foolish sheep.
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:17
